The library has two meeting rooms available for video and audio conferences, and one smaller room for simple speakerphone audio calls. This page lists the equipment for each room and provides information to help determine which room to book and what kind of conference technology you'll need.
Please note that the library's conference rooms are only available to current Pacific faculty and staff.
How to Schedule a Conference
It's a Two-Step Process
- Determine which library conference room to reserve based on the technology you'll need and the size of your group.
- Schedule the technical connection you need, if necessary.
Video conferences |
- Must be scheduled using OIT's video conference
web form. OIT requires that video/audio conferences be scheduled one week in advance.
|
Audio conferences |
- TYPE 1: To set up an audio conference where multiple outside participants dial in to a conversation hosted at Stockton, use OIT's video conference web form. (Yes, it's still considered a video conference...without the video)
- Example: Administrators from the three Pacific campuses need to talk about budgets and Stockton will "host" the conference call.
- OIT requires that video/audio conferences be scheduled one week in advance.
- OIT will provide you with a phone number and a conference ID to pass along to the other conference participants.
- TYPE 2: To participate in a conference call where you and your party will dial out to another location directly (usually you're given an 800 number with an assigned conference ID), simply reserve one of the rooms with a tabletop speakerphone
unit.
You DO NOT need to contact OIT for this kind of conference.
- Example: Your hiring committee wants to have a phone interview with a job candidate – you really just need a speakerphone for this kind of call.
