Safari Tech Books provides over 350 books on computer and related technical topics. While the majority of Safari Tech Books are of interest to students and faculty in technical discplines, Pacific's subscription includes PeachPit Press' Visual Quick Start series with titles of interest across many disciplines. Pacific has access to most O'Reilly titles published from 2001; PeachPit titles published from 2002; and Prentice Hall PTR titles published from 2003.
UC Press provides more than 400 electronic books on a wide range of subjects for reading and reference. You can search by Author, Title, or Subject. Click on the "Public Only" link to see what's available to Pacific students, faculty, and staff.
Oxford Reference Online brings together language and subject reference works from one of the world's biggest reference publishers into a single cross-searchable resource. Pacific Library subscribes to the Core Collection, which contains over 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press. It is a fully-indexed, cross-searchable database of these books.
Search for University of the Pacific theses and dissertations published after 1996, and download complete copies to your computer. Downloads are free for current students, faculty, and staff.
Online equivalent to the print Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature, the Readers' Guide Retrospective contains comprehensive indexing of the most popular general-interest periodicals published in the United States and reflects the history of 20th century America.
An online database for Speech Pathology and Audiology, the Communication Disorders Dome searches books, journals, dissertations, author profiles, and web resources to bring together relevant resources for communicative disorders topics. The database offers links to the full text of articles and books. Selected articles are available at no charge, but most are subject to a fee.
