Reference Books

The library has a number of reference books of potential use for research in this area. For example:

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library:  An online collection of premiere reference electronic books. You can search a single ebook or across an entire ebook collection.

Articles

In addition to Academic Search Complete, try the following:

  • Arts and Humanities: Indexes articles, bibliographies, editorials, letters, reviews, and more from the leading arts and humanities journals.
  • CQ Library: Created and hosted by CQ Press, the CQ Electronic Library (CQEL) is a resource for research in American government, politics, history, public policy, and current affairs.
  • ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center): Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to educational-related literature.
  • JSTOR: A trusted archive of important scholarly journals.
  • Project Muse: Project MUSE was launched in 1995 by the Johns Hopkins University Press, to offer full text of JHUP scholarly journals via the web.
  • Scopus (Elsevier): Scopus is a comprehensive scientific, medical, technical and social science database. Abstracts and citations with some linking to full text.
  • Sociological Abstracts: Literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences.
